As previously reported, the discovery of buried mass human remains during excavations carried out as part of large-scale restoration and construction work in the center of the liberated city of Khojaly (not far from the former carpet factory) is being investigated by the Department of Criminalistics and Information Technology of the General Prosecutor's Office.

  As a result of an inspection carried out in the specified area, the remains of 5 more people were discovered today. Thus, the realised human remains belong to at least 10 individuals (two of them, presumably minors) who were subjected to torture and physical violence.

  The discovered bone fragments were seized for examination and laboratory research, and other procedural actions were carried out.

  Currently, the Prosecutor General's Office, together with the relevant authorities, continues to inspect the scene of the incident to identify the human remains buried on the territory fully.
