The Personnel Department is an independent structural unit of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 
The main responsibilities and functions of the Department: to organize, direct and control the work carried out by the apparatus of the prosecution office, regularly check and analyze the work carried out by the prosecution office staff, provide practical assistance to various structural divisions of the prosecution office in this area, work with candidates for employment in accordance with the rules of the competition for recruitment to the prosecutor's office; to recruit to the prosecution office with employees with the necessary professionalism and moral qualities; make proposals to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the selection and placement of personnel, certification, awarding titles, incentives and other personnel issues within the limits of their authority and in the prescribed manner; to ensure consistency in the number of structural and staff units when organizing work by areas of activity; prepare the relevant orders and regulations, as well as monitor their implementation; develop criteria for evaluating the work of prosecutors in conjunction with other structural divisions of the Prosecutor General's Office; keep a record of the areas of work of staff, including vacancies, incentives and disciplinary measures applied, etc.
